Good afternoon madam Felicia .How are you doing? please I want you to
help me with this issue that stick to my mind. There is a girl I meet
in my friend working place. My friend work in a cyber cafe. I talk to
her and she agree but later that year she gain admission into poly,
and our relationship continue. Until one day she text me that her mum
said we are not compatible. And she said I should not call her again.
I try to call but she don’t pick my call. After so much effort fail, I
try to forget her and move on with my life But the problem now is that
I can’t erase her from mind for hour . I try my best but I can’t just
get her off my mind. recently she came back from school and I saw her
and I greet her. After that time she text me on whatsapp to say hi and
we chat normal but I don’t talk anything about the relationship. Last
week I call her n she pick the call, and I tell her that I just want
to greet her n she said thanks. please what can I do?
You wrote to me about a girl you were dating, who eventually broke up with you and stopped picking your calls, and now she’s back and you can communicate once in a while, but as friends. You want to know whether and how you should get her off your mind as you have been thinking a lot about her a lot and you are not sure if she’s still in love with you.
My advice for you would be to respect her opinions and keep the relationship talk on the down low for now.
It is good that you both seem to be having some sort of communication no matter how little, compared to when she was not picking your calls.
I would say you let it be that way, while she concentrates on her studies and you focus on developing yourself in every aspect a man needs to in life. Time would tell if you would eventually get her off your mind or not, if she would eventually want to date you or not, and…if you would still want to date her or not….give it time, do not push it.
Also some hint could be that she’s hooked up, crushing or getting the attention of someone else in her new school. So if she goes back to school and stops picking your calls, then this might be the case.
I advice you not to make emotional commitments towards her. Make up your mind to let her go, and see her as a friend, that way you won’t be heart broken if her behavior changes again towards you. whether you would both be dating again in the future, only time will tell.
All the best and God’s blessing!
