Year 2016 is around the corner and what we all pray for is to be part of it. Writing New Year Resolutions is the common thing everyone is doing now but the question is, is it all the people writing a New Year Resolution that actually do what has been written in their resolutions in the course of the year? Is it all of us writing the resolutions that actually write achievable goals?
Here are 6 things you should do before 2016.
In the course of the yuletide period, there are many expenses to incur but we must always remember that “a monkey that eats with both hands on the tree will eventually fall”. Cut less on spending on unnecessary things so you don’t have to go through the pains of your lavish spending thereafter. Set a budget for your Christmas and New Year Festivities. Although its not that easy but be cautious.
Giving actually looks contradicting against saving but the truth is “the secret behind having more is to give”. So why not look at a less-privilege around you and make them happy by sharing what you have with them or support an NGO like madamfelicia.org in their campaign on family development and growth.
Evaluate and analyse your 2015. Did you actually achieve every goal written in your 2014 Resolutions for 2015? How many were you able to achieve? What were the barriers or constraints that prevented you from achieving them? You need to think critically about the way forward to ensure that your yet achievable goals are achieved. Rate yourself on a scale of ten using your achievements for the year per goals that you set for this year 2015. How well have you succeeded?
Write A Realistic And Achievable New Year Resolution
Drops of water make an Ocean they say. You don’t have to necessary set big goals, instead, set small achievable goals. You can always set long time goals but break them down into bits. Write down things you shouldn’t be doing and things you need to do to achieve your next landmark. It is very important to write a New Year Revolution and place it where you will be reading it every morning when you wake up and are about to sleep at night. Make a checklist of your goals and mark them as you achieve each one.
Connect and Disconnect
You might be wondering what this has to do with what you need to do before 2016. You also need to know and agree with me that the saying “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are” is true. You need to act now. Disconnect yourself from every relationship that is not adding to your life or moving you forward. And start connecting yourself with the relationship that will add to your life, the people who are your dream and goal helpers.
Have a Quiet Time
Put 2016 and your plans for the year into your makers hands. Pray about it and you will reach the utmost height of your goals.
